Dr. Michael Pilcher has been helping people find
peace, stability, and confidence for over twenty years. He has extensive
training and clinical experience working with a variety of adolescent and adult mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, chronic illness, turbulent personalities, substance misuse, psychosis, and relationship problems. Dr. Pilcher
approaches therapy from a values-based perspective, guiding his patients to
investigate and solidify their core values so that they are empowered to
rebuild their lives by taking the necessary steps to embody these beliefs.
While he appreciates serving diverse populations, he offers a unique focus to his clinical practice with an integrated perspective and approach for those, or their loved ones,
who have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D), latent autoimmune diabetes
of adulthood (LADA), or maturity onset diabetes of the young
(MODY). He is equipped to provide you with essential, up to date,
clinical information and coaching so that you can thrive with T1D, LADA, or
MODY. As a partner in your path to wellness, he will come alongside you
(and your medical team if one is in place) to help you adjust, cope, and manage
the condition so that you can get back to living well.
Dr. Pilcher earned his master of arts
and doctor of philosophy degrees in counseling and subsequently a master
of science degree in psychology. He maintains designations as a
multi-state licensed clinical mental health counselor and addictions counselor.
